Gynocomastia Scars on Chest when incisions are made on the chest wall
When gyno surgery is expertly executed, scars on chest wall fade to being basically imperceptible within 1 year. Scars around areola should be barely perceptible within weeks.
Men undergoing gynecomastia surgery understandably ask about scars. The scars may not be what you imagine. Often, scars are much better, even in more significant gynecomastia cases with redundant skin when an incision is made on the chest wall, vs. just around the areola. If you are bothered by this and elect to have surgery, find a surgeon who is a board-certified plastic surgeon, ideally fellowship trained, with a special interest in gynecomastia, meaning they perform the procedure multiple times each week.
I always try to avoid a scar on the chest wall whenever possible. My goal is to leave an invisible, or almost imperceptible scar.
On rare occasions, when a man has loose skin, I may do a two step procedure which will allow skin to contract before going min for round two which will allow for good skin contraction without the need for a scar on the chest wall.
Only in cases of men who are generally older and or who have gained and lost a considerable amount of weight will I make an incision on the chest wall.
You look young and your skin quality, in these photos anyway seems like a traditional gynecomastia could likely give you great results.

I think it is important to mention that I share details of my surgical plan with patients. There are never surprises and we discuss goals together before surgery.
