The Plastic Surgery Center (TPSC) is an accredited, state-of-the-art, free-standing outpatient surgical facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. Founded and designed by board-certified, fellowship-trained plastic surgeon Michael Law, MD, TPSC was built from the ground up to offer an environment that equals or exceeds top hospital operating rooms in quality, safety, and technology.
The Gold Standard of Accreditation
TPSC holds the rare distinction of being the only office-based plastic surgery center in North Carolina dually accredited by both The Joint Commission and Quad A (formerly AAAASF).
While Joint Commission accreditation is a rigorous distinction typically reserved for hospital operating rooms, Quad A provides specialized, peer-reviewed outpatient oversight. Achieving dual accreditation requires:
- Continuous Standards Compliance: Ongoing monitoring of the clinical environment to ensure an active, daily culture of patient safety.
- Rigorous Provider Credentialing: Verification and continuous maintenance of all medical staff credentials and anesthesia provider certifications.
- Unannounced Evaluation: Self-surveys, regular updates, and strict compliance inspections throughout each three-year survey cycle.
Physician-Led Anesthesia Care
At TPSC, patient safety during major surgical procedures is entrusted exclusively to experienced, board-certified MD Anesthesiologists.
Your Anesthesia MD provides dedicated, continuous care at every phase:
- Pre-Operative Evaluation: Meeting with you prior to surgery to review your medical history and answer questions.
- Intra-Operative Monitoring: Accompanying you into the operating room and remaining by your side throughout your entire procedure.
- Recovery Supervision: Accompanying you to the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU/recovery room) and staying on site until your vital signs are stable and you are close to discharge.
